Slingshots....part of our Target Sports activities...offers many challenges to children...where once we would have all played with these in our back gardens or with friends, children today won't recognise one or even know how to use it. Games are now played online with one finger which massively reduces children's DEXTERITY, FINE MOTOR SKILLS AND COORDINATION. Slingshots also help improve strength, patience and safety awareness.... ~Take2Adventure give opportunities for children to be children and learn how to have safe fun outdoors! ~
First day back in schools and what a day for it! Lovely weather to be delivering outdoor 'survival' education. Today was all about water - both schools excelled at making their filters. Had a fab couple of days with this 'tourist' and enjoyed a recce of this December's guided walk! My auntie Jo popped over from France for a family visit and managed to squeeze and a 10 mile wander through the local countryside.. starting in Whitwell through the grounds of Welbeck Abbey and finishing through Cresswell Crags for a spot of history. Best of all the sunshine shone for the majority! Fingers crossed we will have another lovely day for the actual walk.. Sunday 30th December!! . .
